We're thrilled to present the Swimming Creatures Exclusive Premium 40 Gallon Breeder Matten Filter, crafted with the utmost dedication to quality. Our filters are meticulously constructed using the highest-grade sponge with a density of 60 PPI (pores per inch). This exceptional design ensures the filtration of even the tiniest particles, guaranteeing the creation of the freshest water for your aquarium.

Matten Filters stands out as the superior choice for the filtration of freshwater shrimp keeping and breeding. The extensive surface area they offer serves as an excellent feeding ground for both shrimp and their offspring. The sponge surface fosters the thriving of microorganisms, creating an optimal environment for shrimp to discover natural food.

  • Economical Operating Cost

  • Higher PPI (more dense): A higher PPI provides finer filtration, capturing smaller particles. This can be beneficial in aquariums where you need to maintain excellent water clarity and filter out very fine debris. It is particularly useful in shrimp tanks or breeding setups where small particles can affect water quality.

  • Lower PPI (less dense): A lower PPI allows for greater water flow and is often used in aquariums with larger fish or where mechanical filtration is the primary focus. It may not capture extremely fine particles as effectively as a higher PPI sponge.
